Re: Support code 8600000108 - Actice sync 4.0

Thanks for the info....who told me? The guy at Sprint when he sold me the
phone.

By the way, I have ACT with the link to Outlook; Outlook supposedly syncs
with Activesync to my phone. Alledgedly all three should sync everytime I
sync my phone with my desktop, no? Well, it seems I have new contacts added
to my ACT (on my desktop) and they've never made it into my phone, since the
1st original installation of Active sync years ago (I formerly had an IPAQ),
does anyone know how to get them to re-sync contacts? I've checked into
Outlook help and ACT help to no avail. Everyone claims they should sync
every time.....but ....NO they don't.

Remove old software first. I don't know who told you to sync and it would

I too received the 86000108 Support Code. However, I will do as instructed
in your response regarding the pst. However, I'd had a previous PPC6600
phone
and when I acquired the newer phone 6700 they'd told me to simply sync and
everything would go well. Well it didn't for over 2 wks I've left the
phone
syncing overnight to no avail. Now that I finally sync'd and 'completed'
it,
when I check, there are 2 Windows PC systems withwhich it is syncing and I
don't have any other PC or Server I am syncing with. The top one, not all
items have check marks, on the bottom one all the items have check marks
however, I do not have all my contacts on the phone, nor do I have all my
appts that appear in outlook. The files and note sync'd because I'd put
them
into the desktop folder. However, the Avantgo on the top one does not
show
check mark, nor the Media player. How do I remove the correct Windows PC ?
I
can select either one from my Activesync program on my phone, but where do
I
find it on my PC? Thanks.

Jean,

Okay, more than likely there is some sort of corruption in your PST file
that is causing the issue.

On your PC with your Pocket PC disconnected, run the Inbox Repair Tool
(scanpst.exe) then run Detect and Repair within Outlook. After these are
done, reboot for good measure then try to sync. That should solve the
problem.

Regards,

Jean,

Not to doubt you here, but are you sure that the error code number is
correct? I did a look on Google, MSN, and the Microsoft KB and did
not
find that number at all.

Just want to double-check.

Thanks,
