I was in your same position just a few short weeks ago, but with some
excellent help from the folks on this newsgroup, I am now a happy wireless
user.

Anyway, the key to my success was to follow the instructoins found in the
attachment on the second post at this link.

I followed the instructions all the way through but then made some slight
mods.

It is when you define the "iPaq Wi-Fi Adapter" settings is where you enter
the gateway information. Do not enter gateway information in the networks
"proxy" settings. I think that was the key to getting my WiFi working.

Also, you do not need the dialup network information as described in the
document.

I struggled for a good two weeks and then one night, bingo, it worked. What
a joy. I then had my wife's and my daughter's iPAQ rx1950 working in
minutes.
