If you are referring to applications, most applications will work with
WM2003 and WM5. However it is always best to double-check with the
developer's website to make sure. In some cases they may have an updated
version which supports WM5 - often times these are free but that is not
always the case.

As for data file, you should be okay there as well but again, I'd check with
software site just to be safe.

In going to WM5 from WM2003 personally, I only had two applications that
would not work properly after the upgrade and both are expecting upgrades
soon.
