How are you connecting, first off. The share feature will only work over
some IP connection, CF ethernet card, WiFi. It will not work connected via
ActiveSync, USB or otherwise. There are insufficient protocols to support
this under AS.
If you are connected via direct IP to the network, I would get a free copy
of vxutil at www.cam.com to help in troubleshooting. You will need to be
able to ping the PC by name, before AS over the network and browsing will
work.
To make your life easier, network support is built in to some third party
file explorers in a much friendlier way than with the built in FE. Resco
File Explorer is one that comes to mind, and also has numerous other
beneficial features. There certainly are some good free file explorers out
there as well, though I don't know much about their network support. You
might look for Total Commander.
