Cannot uninstall apps on Windows Mobile 5

I have a 6 week old Sprint PPC-6700 (HTC Apache) pocket PC running Windows
Mobile 5. I am thoroughly pleased with the device and am pleased with the
potential of WM5. I have been a Windows CE user since version 2.12 and have
been along for the long evolutionary ride.
Regardless, I installed two applications to test and I cannot get them to
uninstall now. The Remove Programs tool indicates that the Microsoft Voice
Command application has been removed, however it remains in the
Settings==>Personal menu. The other application is Shape Services' IM+ for
Sametime. The Remove Program indicates that it was unable to completely
remove the program.
I am wary of testing any other software with this device until I can remove
the current applications effectively.
Please advise or point me in the right direction.
