Re: Pocket Informant

Hi Alan, Dave, and all . Actually - we do send newsletters to
registered customers regularly.

We send out newsletters once about every 2-3 months. It takes about 3-4
weeks to email all of our customers. If you've never gotten an email it
may be due to one of two reasons. One is that your spam filter may be
blocking it. If you're using Yahoo for example then don't expect to get
notices. They block our newsletters. The second reason is that you may
have turned off your desire for getting a newsletter. Check
http://webis.net/mailprefs for that. Or perhaps your registered email
address is wrong in our database.

We also try to group our newsletters when we have multiple
announcements instead of just. Part of that is we are very sensitive to
SPAM and we don't want to get to where our customers feel like we're
spamming. Finally, we usually wait about 2-3 weeks after a product
release to send a newsletter because the newsletters tend to drive such
a tremendous amount of traffic that we don't want to compound that with
the news stories on all the major Pocket PC sites.

And then there is that - we always post new releases on all the news
sites so that if you frequent those you'll get that information as
well.

In fact, we're about to send a newsletter in the next week.

If you are not getting newsletters you may want to visit our support
and have them check up on your account in our database. If its there -
then its most likely your provider blocking the email as SPAM. Not much
we can do about that.

Finally, a lot of folks we read about prefer to switch to PI from
Agenda Fusion due to the better performance, better UI, more frequent
updates, and better support. Of course that's all subjective, but of
course I did want to mention that :)
