Re: Update on WM5 HP Support

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

i too have contacted HP and pointed them to the forum on their site of the
battery/drain/memory card/activesync
problems people are having. They are well aware of the problem. The problem
is ActiveSync running up
(off-peak time?) with a SD/CF card in the slot. Basically the workaround as
posted on forums,
to create a dummy server in Activesync on the PocketPC and remove the
schedule times (set to manual),
then delete the dummy server (the schedule time set to manual will remain)
....as strange as it sounds, this will fix the battery drain problem....i did
this over a week ago and the
problem has disappeared from my unit (hx2795). HP told me that this problem
exists with other
manufacturers as well, and because of this, they said it's a Microsoft
problem with ActiveSync and
are waiting for a fix from them.
