Beverly.....thanks for the reply and info.....after a day of reading, I'm
quite a bit more knowledgable than I was this morning. :-)
Looks like what I need is either the Palm Treo 650 or the HP ipaq 6515.
The reviews of the Treo 650 are mostly positive, and the reviews of the HP
6515 are good but with a lot more Cons (like sluggish speed). The ipaq
6515 has the features I really want (two SD card slots allowing WiFi and
storage, internal GPS, Windows OS). And user reviews are very good for the
ipaq 6515. And although the Treo 650 gets better editor reviews, the
average user seems to being having a lot of trouble with it locking up and
other rebooting issues. Plus there's no way to add WiFi to the Treo.
The ipaq 6515 at the local Cingular store was broken so I couldn't see how
it compared to the Treo, but I like the bigger screen. Does the 6515 have
the same "optimize" option that the Treo does, which puts a complete webpage
on the screen without having to scroll back and forth? Has anyone out
there really compared these two models and have an opinion? Since the web
browsing is of prime importance to me, I'd like to get some opinions.
C'mon folks, need some help from those in the know.
