My wife's X50v's registration was always shaky. She complained about it
often but I never saw the issue until one time I was upgrading it and
reloading all the software. (I like to do that, seems cleaner) Spending a
day with it I saw her issues. We hard reset it and played with it for a day
factory fresh and it had problems. Called Dell support, explained the issue
and what we had done and a new one came next day air. Haven't had a problem
since. Both of us are happier. Call Dell.
Incidentally, mine started acting a little funny, seemed off, less
responsive. Got rid of my screen protector and it's been fine since.
Probably could have cleaned it and put on a new one, but I don't really like
the things anyway.
