Darn MRU in start menu, has anyone hacked it out yet?

I cannot stand my start menu just keeps growing and growing, and I've
got to use Tweak to purge it. That takes several taps, and I just want
to eliminate it.

I have posted regarding this before, I'm just wondering if anyone has
yet found a hack to get rid of it, or perhaps a registry entry.

A MRU list on the start menu is fairly useful on a desktop system, but
on a PDA, it is an awful waste of screen space.

And even on Windows XP you can eliminate or minimize this feature's
usage, but not on the PDA!
