Connected to Wifi but not to net

Hi,
I have a computer connected to the web and a wifi access point.
My other computer connects to the web via the first computer, (ICS).
I have been using my laptop to connect to the web for some time using the
wireless access point to join the network.
I can connect my MDA to the network, I can ping the 'main' machine, (the one
with the internet), and it can ping my phone.
But I cannot go to the internet using the net.
If I try to go on the net then the system connects to the GPRS, (and drops
the wireless connection).
I can use the GPRS to go on the net, but I want to use my Wifi connection,
(it's cheaper).
So, how can I tell my phone to use the Wifi connection to surf the net and
not the GPRS one?
My phone is the T-Mobile MDAIII,

Many thanks in advance.
Simon.
