Hope I'm not telling you something you already know. I'm assuming Win XP.
Right click My Computer and head for the Computer Name tab. On it there
should be a Full Computer Name field. That's the computer name. If it has
dots, like Bob.company.com, the Computer name is Bob.
Go to the printers, and right click the printer you have shared, and select
properties. Go for the Sharing tab. There is a field that says Share Name:
That's the printer's name.
If you then construct what you found into \\computername\printername
hopefully it will work.
