Actually the damn thing did a software reset automaticaly when I first
tried to sync after installing the network. Haven't tried to do a
hardware reset, I'll give that a bash!

Incidentally I've been using 3.8 the super duper no quibble connect
everytime newest version, the one that my firewall said NO to!

Oh, and .Net Framework 1.1 without the latest ms patch as it won't
install it on my PC.
