Wireless Network and ActiveSync

Can anybody out there help me?

I've been using my HP Jornada 560 on my PC for the past couple of years
with no major problems bar Norton Internet Security which I resolved.

Two weeks ago I set up a Home network using two wireless lan cards, a
feat which took many hours and an almost total loss of hair.

Now that's resolved I find that my PDA refuses point blank to sync with
my PC. When I put it into the cradle nothing happens, and I mean
NOTHING! No attempt to start to sync on either device, if i attempt to
manually connect using ActiveSync it whips and blurps and tells me
there's nothing to connect to (it's a USB connection by the way).

I've attempted to set up Incoming Networks on my PC, allowing networks
on my pda, on activesyc on anything that moves but still not a thing.
My wireless connection is 8211.b or g adhoc whatever that means.

Can I ever sync again?

Help!!
