How do I? ActiveSync

I have ActiveSync 3.7.something on my Desktop PC's. I must sync with
two computers. One at work, and one at home. I work out of my home 3
days a week and go into my office 2 days a week. I am having calendar
problems, as I usually create future meetings while in the field.
When I return to one of my offices I sync to whichever computer I see
first. The Contacts section always update just fine and is my most
important program, but the calendar usually dumps the new appointments
and puts the stuff back that is on whichever desktop I sync to. Yes,
all of the settings are right and both desktops have been told to sync
to the pocket pc. I've recently told it not to update the calendar,
but I can't find a way to manually update the calendar after conecting
and syncing the notes, files and contacts.
I was given advice in an earlier post, that I could not follow because
the options that I was told to look for weren't visible. Enough
background.
I'm kinda new to using a ppc, but I do have a couple of months under
my belt and have had no other problems. But how do I:
Get activesync 3.8 on my pocket pc? Will it be automatic when I
remove 3.7 from my desktop and install 3.8?
I have a real addiction problem with the ppc. I love it. I'm getting
a lot out of it, but I don't yet understand just how everything works.
I need for the ppc to be the boss, and it seems that things are set
up, especially in the calendar, to let the desktop be the supreme
control.
Anyway,
1. should I update t 3.8?
2. will updating my desktop to 3.8 put that version on my ppc?
Sorry for bodacious bandwidth usage, I felt background was necessary
Regards,
Ron
