I'd set up activesync to 'desynchronise' the calendar :
Let it start to sync one last time and then cancel the 'would you like
to combine items' dialog. Go to Activesync Tools->Options->Sync
Options tab, and look down the bottom.
See the unintuitively lablled 'server options' ? Go there (click
Configure) and uncheck the 'Calendar' icon. No, I don't know why it's
not listed on the main screen of sync items, either ;-p
If you prefer to sync the items on the PPC back to the PC however,
instead go to the 'Rules' tab, and make sure the "Desktop" dropdown is
set to 'Always replace the items on this computer'. If you're using an
exchange server, maybe you'll have to do the same to the dropdown
below that too (I've never tried)
