In my personal experience I find this to be the case as well. I have a
couple different models of fm transmitters out in the truck that I have
collected over time, but interference while driving (especially high pitch
whines and beat frequencies ) leads me back to the cassette adaptor. No
doubt this is in no small part due to electrical shielding that really
favors radio signals outside of the cab to be picked up over the noise of
the truck electronics within the interior. Of course the best solution
would be to go with an indash head with audio in jacks, but I have not
gotten around to it yet...
