This is pretty frustrating actually. I am strongly considering a x50v.
I called Dell today and the sales person told me that they were not
planning an upgrade to 2005. I don't get it. The device has a flashable
ROM. Why not provide an upgrade then? Now I don't know if I want to buy
it.

When does 2005 come out? Is it worth waiting for? What are the chance
of Dell turning aroudn and selling the same device (or very comparable)
with the new OS a few months from now and not offering an upgrade?

Thanks,
John
