I can't get my iPAQ 3650 to connect to my wireless network using a Belkin CF
network card adapter - can anybody help?

I recently got this used old? iPAQ 3650 (not h3650) with a USB/CF cradle.
The s/w version is 3.0.11171 Build 11178 but it only has 32MB RAM and 16MB
Flash ROM. I have no CDs, no manuals & no other info. Is this a true PC2002
(Merlin) or an upgraded PC2000 with only some of the 2002 features?

Anyway, I was also given a new Belkin F5D6060 802.11b wireless CF network
card and I want to connect the 3650 to my home network using this CF network
card.

My network runs on a DLink-514 wireless 802.11b router. I have 3 PCs and a
Laptop (3 wireless and 1 ethernet-cable) talking together and to the
internet with
no problems. The net is normally wep-encrypted & SSID suppressed but I
removed all security for the Belkin installation.

Standard installation over activesync seems to be perfect (all the right
messages) and the Belkin card behaves OK when inserted into the 3650 slot
with
all the right lights lit up and the signal strength bars up at 95%. I saved
the
profile with the correct SSID name from the Belkin configuration manager.
The DI514 activity log shows the Belkin card was given an IP and I can even
connect to the internet.

The problem is that if I switch the 3650 off, it will not reconnect to the
network. If I try to Link I get an error saying there is no network driver.
The
Belkin 'About' page confirms that all driver info is missing.

What happened? Can anyone help? Am I missing something?
