Top or bottom- who cares as long as it is consistent.
It's the jumping up and down to try and follow a thread that is a pain, and
if you can't be bothered to scroll down in a post that flows properly in
order that's up to you. It's harder to follow that inconsistency than just
look at the bottom (or top).
