Joel,

Here are the pertinent configuration screens on both my Buffalo access point and my iPAQ 5555. Since
I am strictly a home user, I don't use a Radius server like Eric does...

The key your talking about is the WEP key and has nothing to do with the broadcast channel the
access point radio transmits on...That, the broadcast channel, is controlled from the access point.
The WPA key must match the key on the access point.

IMHO, you cause yourself more trouble than its worth if you disable the transmission of the
ESSID/SSID. There are tools out there that can pickup the ESSID/SSID even if it is being cloaked...
Use WPA with a LONG RANDOM key, larger than 20 characters in length...
