Sam,
If you are using the built-in File Explorer, go to the bottom of the
screen... the white space... Tap-and-hold on that area. You will get a
popup menu that has the line View All Files, make sure that there is no
check there. This should then hide all hidden files.
Let me know if this solves your problem...
