Is there any advantage/disadvantage to automatically turning off, rather than just
dimming? (Perhaps with timers and/or alarm notices?) Is there any way to tell which
it is doing, without looking at settings?
Some times, when I would like to be off, I seem to be able to see chars; other times
not. Haven't been able to recognize why I don't always get what I expect.
Sometimes when I tap a dark screen, I get the audio click (that I have selected in
settings), but the screen stays dark. Sometimes when I push the power button once,
the screen lights up. Other times I have to push the power button a second time.
I have never gotten the screen to turn on or brighten by using a finger-pressed key.
I've tried all the settings, but perhaps not in the correct combination.
I get the feeling that there is a lot of flexibility here.... but not necessarily
cohesive..... like more than one person independently designed the same or similar
features in multiple ways.
What am I missing here?
TIA
