Hi everyone,
I know there has been a number of discussions on this topic, but I was
wondering if there is anyone out there that might have been successful with
making an ad-hoc connection with an IPAQ 3955 that runs WM 2003. I went
through a number of web sites and old postings on various newsgroups (using
Google) and tried applying the info I found to varying degrees (such as
setting different IP addresses for my Windows XP and Pocket PC machines and
turning on Windows XP ICS), but the farthest I was able to go was that the
Pocket PC was able to detect the USB wireless adapter on my home PC but I
was still not able to use ActiveSync nor use any internet applications. I
did wonder if my WiFi CF card (it's an Ambicom WiFi CF Card) may not support
ad-hoc in WM 2003, but I would think that if it supports ad-hoc using PPC
2002 OS, then it should support WM 2003 as well. I did search through
Ambicom's web site as well but I did not find a support article on this
specific topic.
If anyone could offer some help on this, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Fred Byon
