I haven't experienced the problem you describe,
livng in the Western US, but have used PS for quite
a while, and found it to work well...

And I wonder-

could the problem you both describe be due
to the fact that 0 deg. Longitude runs through the
area the map was created for?

As a small-time application writer, some of the
toughest bugs I've had to track down in my own code
were due to not explicitly assgning a value to variables,
and having unexpected results when the system assigned
them a value of 0.

I wonder, if you are able to create your own maps of London
for PS, if you create one just east of lon. 0 and one just west of
it, if they'll work?
