I think I fixed it.

Under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.gif the Content Type was GIF File. I changed this to image/gif and now it works. Just looking at other keys, can you or others tell me what the proper values are for the following:

file
urlfile

Please tell me all the entries within the key, i..e for the main item, shell, command, etc.
