Dell Axim 3i and Linksys wireless gateway problems

I don't know why my new Dell laptop fails to connect to my Linksys
wireless gateway, but now I have had enough. I now have a new Axim 3i
that can not hold a wireless connection. It works fine for a short
while, then it drops the wireless link.
The funny thing is that when I do a search, it shows my Linksys
transmitting on channel 6 fine. I jump to the next page to tell it to
get an IP from DHCP and it has no connection. It is scanning for a
conection and never scans channel 6, it skips it. I go back to the
list of wireless connections I can see and it shows Linksys on channel
6.
I was on the web for a few minutes at most when it dropped me again
and would not connect.

Is there an updated driver for a brand new, just out of the box Axim
3i that I need?

The Dell Laptop needed an updated driver to connect. I would kill my
Linksys so that nobody could get in or out until it was rebooted and
the Dell was turned off. Way to go Dell, two out of two, no wireless
on either unit until drivers are updated. The latop was updated today
and that fixed it. The Axim 3i is new to me and I don't know the first
thing about finding new drivers for it.
