nPOP looks very interesting - but I'm having trouble getting it to work.
I've downloaded several installation files. One instructions says I only
need to put nPOP.exe somewhere and run it, but when I do, the status bar
at the bottom of the screen is ignored (File Eplorer's status bar keeps
occupying the space). I found a CAB file somewhere on the Internet; when
I used that for installation, nPOP's status bar appeared with icons -
but the program version was Japanese, so no legible letters where used
anywhere. Replacing the nPOP.exe file with the English version
reestablished the status bar problem.
I've read the instruction that one would have to copy dlls to the
Windows directory on some devices, but that the iPaq is supposed to have
the dlls. I did copy a group of icons and bitmaps etc that were included
in a nPOP zip file, but I'm not sure if that was needed, and anyway the
problem keeps being that the English version doesn't produce or
communicate with the correct status bar.
So: Where can I find an English version CAB file that installs
correctly??
Regards,
Richard
