I have figured out how to use the backup function. Thanks to all who
suggested it.

I take issue with your "not too bright" comment. I have owned about 15
desktop/laptop computers. Even before hard disks were common I didn't have
to worry about "losing everything" because the computer booted from a disk,
and my data resided on floppies. W/ hard drives, everything is right there
on the computer. Certainly 80 mb of built-in RAM could do the same for PPCs
and would eliminate the need for consciously backing up the device or
worrying about where you put the cord.
