A charter member actually added this one:

28. Your house catches fire. After accounting for children, pets and
the family albums, you beg the fire department to rescue your PDA. (A
charter member actually added this from her experience. Yes, it's
extreme, but how many people really do offsite backup?)

There's an updated version of the list, including that one, on one of
my blogs:

I do have a personal email list I can use, so I'm thinking I'll fuse
Blogger with the list. I'm thinking yet how to do this best and will
experiment further. I like Blogger's simplicity and may just augment
it by paying the enhanced blogspot fee.

I also need to remove "hard core" from the name of the group, I think
it'll be a problem for the spam blockers :-).

I hope you sent me email so I could add you to the list --
jfaughnan@spamcop.net. Don't use the phrase "hard core" -- I have
pretty aggressive spam filters on that account.
