Re: VPN works with PPC 2002, not PPC 2003

The connection is 802.11b or hardwired-ethernet via cable, even direct 100
mbit ethernet. Latency should not be a problem. The applications I test
make a TCP/IP socket connection and continuously send data. I have also
tried pinging at 1 sec intervals. The VPN connection dies after on the
order of 10 min in all cases. I can monitor the 802.11b connection and it
does not disconnect from the access point. Only the VPN tunnel disconnects.
The server says the client *requests* a disconnect. Moreover, it doe not
happen with the Movian VPN, only the internal one.

This is probably different from your situation, where network disconnects
are probably to be expected. However, I have successfully run these same
applications over GPRS and a cell phone using Movian and they do pretty well
when I have a good connection.
