So unless you got a supported device, you can't play your legally bought
WMAs. Yup DRM do suck big time.

It should do as MP3 has no DRM.

Possibly, see also DVD movie copying.

If you can't convert them to MP3 by using any of the tools I posted. You
could always use the analogue method of converting them. This involves
playing the WMAs with WMP9 and recording the soundcard's output using an
audio-recorder, say something like GoldWave. There may be some loss of
quality using this method.
