black screen when trying to explore pocket pc from windows

Hello, when I click explore whether it's from the active sync window or from
my computer to try to view the files and folders in the pocket pc from
windows I just get a blank screen. The sidebar (I'm using win XP) say mobile
device system folder. I get no other options to explore anywhere else. I't
never did this before. It's been a while since I've used it but when I did
try it about a month ago it worked. Well I've looked everywhere and can't
find an answer to this. The whole reason I need to do this is because we
bought a cf card and wanted to put the games and programs there. I thought
maybe it was the card as like I said it worked the last time I tried it. So
I removed the card but no it's still the same. So is it just something
simple I'm not seeing or don't know about or would someting I installed on
the pocket pc or computer have affected this?? Any help would be good.
