Re: Wireless data plan for WM 6 Classic

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

I am on Verizon. I'm happy to do whatever will make this work - cheap/free
or whatever. I'm willing to switch to a different cell provider if necessary
to get a phone and plan that will let me access the internet with my ipaq
210 when I need to.

Thanks for your help

I really need some help....

I just purchased a HP 210 IPAQ. I'm looking for a data plan to use
with this so that I can get internet and email when I travel.

As an alternative I have a LG VX8700 cell phone with Bluetooth
capabilities. I tried to pair the two and use my cell phone to access
the internet on my ipaq. No luck. When I pair, and try to access the
internet I get a "page not found" error. I have my wireless plan
through Verizon who says that they don't support using this phone as
a modem.
I've asked several wireless data plan providers about a plan for my
ipaq and can't find one that says that they can support it.

I would appreciate any help that you can offer in finding a wireless
provider that will support my ipaq 210 and/or what I need to do to
get to the internet using my LG VX8700 cell phone.

I'm frustrated and really need your help.

Thank you so much

Okay, so you have a PDA (pda doesn't do voice) and a cell phone (that
model usually doesn't do data), but you also have no internet provider for
mail/news... You can browse the internet with the wifi, or do email AND
browse the internet via the BT/cell, however, if you want to save email,
you will most likely need a mail server somewhere (there used to be lots
of free mail sending services, but due to spammers, those are very hard to
find nowadays)...

What provider do you use for your cellphone?

Do you want to do it cheap/free or just make it work?
