Maybe I'm to late but why would you turn off the DHCP Server, or change any
other device on the network? You just need to configure static entries on
the PPC itself. That precludes it requesting addresses via DHCP.
That of course doesn't preclude bad key issues, but it precludes bad keys
messing up getting the right IP, mask, gateway.

Yes you'll need to set (manually configure an IP address for the Belkin,
and then turn off the DHCP Server of the Belkin not the DHCP client. )
you'll need to manually enter the IP address for each computer as well as
the DNS IP address, and the Default Gateway IP address and subnet mask.
