Re: Lose Desktop Wireless connection when Sync Axim via USB Cradle

My guess is you have an Intel Pro Wireless adapter? If so if you use a different adapter not based on the Intel chip I hear it's not a problem. Otherwise I hear that not all drivers for the Intel Pro wireless device experience this.

Whenever I dock my Axim X50v to synchronise with my PC, my PC loses its
connection with my wireless network. As soon as I dock the Axim into
the cradle, a network icon appears briefly in the PC system tray (if I
hover the mouse over the icon, it says 'acquiring network address'),
when the icon disappears, my wireless network connection is broken. At
this point, if I check IPCONFIG /ALL, my wireless adapter no longer has
an IP address and the 'network' established by the Axim has an IP
address.

Why does this happen? How can I stop it knocking out my wireless
network (I've got stuff on a network storage device that I want to
synch!)

Can anyone help?
