Re: Accessing Internet using WLAN Connection on Windows Mobile 5.0

On the PocketPC open Pocket File Explorer tap the icon that looks like a
hand holding a trash can. On the screen that pops-up enter the name of the
PC you wish to browse as \\MyComputerName You'll need an account with a
password on the PC. This assumes that your PC is set up to share folders.

It's not possible to browse a PocketPC from a PC with out installing
software on the PocketPC. You could install a FTP server on the PocketPC to
allow you to do this.

Hi guys,
I have a HP iPaq rw6828, and I am trying to access the internet via a
wireless network connection. I have just given up on talking to HP as
they
seem to be incompetent and have never used their own products.

Anyways, I have a wireless network at home, which I use with my laptop
all
the time. I have successfully connected my PDA to that. I get an IP
address
and I can ping external IP addresses and websites.

However, if I open up Internet Explorer, I cannot browse to any websites.
I
can however, connect a network drive and play music in PocketMusic.

Anyone got any ideas what I am doing wrong? My laptop is working
perfectly,
which assures me there is a configuration issue with the PDA.

Thanks in advance.
Ashley
