PC??
i only get 802.11 b ...are there any add on cards, etc. or is everyone
else out there
also stuck with only 802.11b ....if my iPaq detects a wifi signal it
usually
is 802.11g so, i'm unable to connect to internet...anyone know of
anything??
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTC_Universal
has an article called "How to add WiFi G to your Universal". It
provides instructions for editing the registry. The article is about
one specific WM 5 model, but should apply to others. I have no real
info, but the specified change sure looks like it can't hurt anything.
So, as long as you are careful and don't make any other changes, the
worst that can happen is you waste some time. Note that the change
only lets a device work with a 802.11g access point; it doesn't
provide the full speed of 802.11g.
I don't have access to many access points that are g only, so I can't
test easily.
