Why does my Pocket PC ignore DHCP OFFERs ????

I recently purchased a Dell Axim Pocket PC which runs Windows Mobile
2003 Second Edition. It has a built in WiFi interface.

I am able to connect to my WiFi network at home and at a local public
hotspot and access the internet. I have utterly failed to use the
WiFi network at work.

The symptom was that the PPC would connect to the access point, but
it would never get a DHCP lease. I worked with the IT department at
work to troubleshoot the issue. We took some network traces and were
able to see the PPC broadcast a DHCP DISCOVER packet followed by the
DHCP server sending a DHCP OFFER addressed back to the PPC. Shortly
the PPC would broadcast another DISCOVER and the server would send
another OFFER. Lather, rinse, and repeat until the PPC reached the
max # of retries, and gave up.

The PPC is flat out ignoring the DHCP OFFERs being served up.

The server side equipment is a Cisco PIX connected to a Cisco
ethernet-to-WiFI bridge. We did the network sniffing both on the
wireless and on the wired connection between the bridge and the PIX.
We could see the same traffic in both places, so we know that the
WiFi connection is OK.

There are dozens of people in the office using laptops on the
wireless network every day. My PPC is the only device having trouble.
Unfortunately, it is the only PocketPC in the office. I really need
to get this working so this doesn't turn into a really expensive
gameboy.

Can anyone please shed some light on my issues?
