Re: IMATE to Win2K connextion by VPN

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Hi Eric,

Thanks for the reply. If I configure the VPN client this way I get no VPN
service to connect to when I look in settings.

Have switched back to MY ISP and the network architecture seems to be
correct. ie if I try to access a network share the VPN resource attempts to
connect but doesn't suceed (very quickly too - about 3-5 seconds).

Accessing the same share from my laptop works fine from the same place.

The full "path" as such is from my laptop/pda through a wireless router at
home, through Demon Broadband, through an Aramiska Satellite Router and into
a Windows 2000 domain controller which is running RRAS. The Aramiska router
is configured to pass PPTP requests on our public IP address to the server
internally and this works on the laptop. Have checked the RRAS log and the
Event log but nothing shows when I try to connect using the PDA.

Have you any suggestions as to how I could trace this fault and discover at
what point in the link things are failing?
