  Thanks Martin for the suggestions.
I am not using an access point, it is a peer-to-peer network, desktop and laptop.
I want to add the iPAQ 2225 to the network. I have the SD SanDisk card. As I mentioned, it works fine in a "hot spot" and I can use Internet Explorer to browse sites. At home, IE won't let me go to any web address. Instantly when I enter an address, the "can't find site" error pops up. I know it will go to the internet via the desktop because when I click on AvantGo on the PDA and click on Sync it goes and updates from their web site the "channels" I have selected. It appears no one can figure out why the IE won't work.
  Thanks again for your help..
  Joseph

  Hi Joseph,

I think that even with a peer to peer network you might get on better assigning a fixed IP address to the Pocket PC. It certainly wouldn't hurt to try!

I have a wireless network between desktop and laptop. Works fine. I am trying to set up iPAQ 2200 w/ SanDisk wifi card to access network.

      Joseph,

I don't know if it's any help, but I did the following with my Connect Plus Sandisk combined memory and wifi card.

Installed Sandisk driver from their site not the CD.
Upgraded firmware of Wireless Access Point.
Used a fixed IP address (in the same range as my network) for the PocketPC.

I think some WAPs are not too shiny at giving out IP addresses which is why I used a fixed IP address at home. It may be that the hot spots are better at this?

I'm not sure which made the difference, but the Pocket PC wifi is working extremely well on my home network.

      Good luck

      Martin

It connects, but when I try to access a web address in Pocket Explorer, it instantly (no delay) tells me the page is not available. When I click on the AvantGo icon, it connects to the internet and updates the AvantGo on the PPC. Does the Pocket Explorer need special settings? When I go to a WiFi hotspot, it works fine and can access any web page I type in address bar.
      Any ideas anyone?

      Joseph
