Yes, you've raised an issue that I had failed to notice. As it
happens, I've got several network adaptors fitted on my PC. My
"network connections" reports the following:
- wired ethernet
- wireless 802.11g
- bluetooth
- 1394 (firewire).

I've never quite understood why 1394 is classed as a "network adaptor"
since it just connects some local devices. Of course it's not directly
relevant to the current thread.

So yes, the IP address I've referred to is obtained by dhcp through
the wired network. So are you saying that the other 3 network
connections each need a separate IP address - if so where do I set
them. Also, since my wired (dhcp) connection has a 192.168.0.x IP
address, do the other IP addresses all have to be on the same subnet,
or does it not matter?

Like you, I normally do ActiveSync via the cradle. However, it would
be convenient if I also could ActiveSync wirelessly. In fact I'd go
further and say in what other way can I use wireless networking to my
e740. Can I use wireless to do something other than ActiveSync?

>But if you've got a connection, it sounds as if this is OK.

Yes, I seem to have a connection between the PC and the e740. As it
happens ActiveSync doesn't work through it - I don't know why.
However, is there something else other than ActiveSync I can do to
check out the wireless networking between the PC and e740?
