Hi,

I just got my x30 today and I'm trying to get the wireless working. I
have a linksys wrt54g. The linksys is set up like this:

wireless network mode: mixed
ssid broadcast: enabled

Security Mode: WEP, 64 bits

Under Advanced wireless, everything is the default.

The only other thing I've changed from the defaults is that I am
restricting mac addresses. As far as I can tell, I have successfully
entered the correct mac in the list. My desktop is in the list and it
is now working.

The Dell WLAN Utility correctly identifies the network name I used,
says the connection is excellent, and the right mac address for the
linksys base, and has correctly identified it as wep encryption.

The two arrows at the top of the screen do not have the x over them,
so it looks like it should work. If you press the "disable wireless"
button an x appears on the icon

But I can't contact the linksys hub, the ip address is a generic
169.254.82.66 instead of something on 192, and the ip routing is wrong
as well.

I tried typing in all of the correct tcpip information, but no luck.

Any ideas? I hate to open my wireless up to the world and that's the
one thing I haven't done yet.

Thanks,
