I am hoping that someone can help me understand the difference between
setting wireless access up on Windwos Mobile 2003 as "My network card
connects me to: The Internet" or "Work".

My network is set up as a class C network bridged to the Internet via
a Linksys Cable router. Every device on thet network behaves as
expected EXCEPT my iPaq.

The problem:

When I have the iPaq set up to access the Internet I cannot
ActiveSynch w/ my laptop. When I have the iPaq set up to access
"Work" I cannot get to the internet w/o a Proxy server.

I understand routing principles and I do not understand why Windows
Mobile makes me specify one way or the other. I feel that I should be
able to configure the iPaq so that it is on my network AND can access
the Internet via the default gateway.

I downloaded a free Ipconfig utility and it reports that DHCP has
done it's job:

IP address: 192.168.1.77
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default GW: 192.168.1.1
DNS Server: 207.69.188.185
            207.69.188.186

HP Technical Support was of no help!

Thanks for any insight you can provide,
Mike
