Is it possible the AP2000 is in a 802.11g mode only? If so that would certainly keep you from
getting a connection, IP, etc on your 802.11b device. I would talk to the network administrators
about this. I don't believe this is a MS issue. I use an 802.11b equipped iPAQ 5555 device with my
Buffalo WBR-G54 access point/router. The WBR-G54 is configured to talk to both 802.11b and 802.11g
clients in a mixed mode configuration.
