I finally installed the Socket SD Drivers last night... and found that
Socket obviously does something _very_ different with respect to power
management.

After a relatively long (half hour plus) session, the freshly charged
extended battery still showed 100% where it would have been at 70%-80%
using the Sandisk drivers after a similar connect time.

Additionally, the back of the SD card would be hot to the touch after a
similar session with the Sandisk drivers, but this time there was no
discernable change in the temperature of the card after it was removed.

Think that this pretty much cements the fact that the Socket SDWifi card
would be a better purchase option between the two.
