Note! A large number of Netgear MR814 Wifi Routers have been sold in
the past few weeks because of sale prices as low as $29

THE MR814 IS PROVING TO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH A NUMBER OF POCKETPC WIFI
DRIVERS!

Posts are showing up on other forums with PPC DHCP assignment problems
with these units.

I have documented this on multiple MR814 setups with several different
PocketPC cards and PPC drivers.

If you can "connect" to an MR814 but don't get a valid ip (i.e.
169.254.xxx.xxx ip's ain't valid) run the netgear utility

Go to "connected devices"

If you _do not see_ your PPC's mac address in this table, your only two
current options are to try upgrading the _PPC_ card drivers or to
manually assign the ppc ip addresses.

The solution to this with a Symbol card was to install the socket
drivers for the matching socket (single led) card as neither of the
socket drivers would get a dhcp assignment.

Hope this helps...
