Well I have never been to Italy, but my understanding is Wi-Fi is much less
prevalent there than here. So you might want to look and see if you can find
a real wireless hotspot where you are going before you get there. I suspect
that you might find a LAN network in a motel easier than a free Hotspot.
Bluetooth seems to be the card of choice, in Europe. Also a Wi-Fi card for
use in the US maybe illegal in Europe as it transmits over their power
limits.
