Re: Samsung i730 dies while recharging

The phone is charging just fine, it's an os/reset issue. And the problem is
that if someone calls while the phone is in the cradle I may not get the
call because the phone has died and I just don't know it yet. It also makes
using the phone as an alarm clock while traveling really dicey.

Verizon had me do a hard reset and now we'll see if the problem returns. If
it does they'll replace the phone under warranty. I was obviously hoping
for less drastic fixes, but at this point I'll take any fix.

I'd prefer not to do a soft reset everyday, but that actually be ok if it
made the phone reliable. In this case, my phone essentially has to be
treated as offline everytime I charge it. And that isn't acceptable.

if you reset following each charge cycle, does the charge cycle show full?

On second reading of your post, it sounds like you are saying that it's an
os/reset issue rather than a dead battery.

fwiw, I always do a soft reset at the end of each charge cycle.
