Re: Does the Sprint PPC-6700 ever really turn off?

Gary you can get the upgrade from Sprint's site (
http://www4.sprint.com/pcsbusiness/downloads/APAC_SPCS_20600_300_11200_ship.exe )
If you're not having any problems with the current rom then I wouldn't break
something that's working but if you are having problems then I would do the
upgrade. I've found that the new rom has both speed and stability
improvements in addition to many "under the hood" type improvements.

Eric,

I just got my 6700 from the local Sprint store this past week. I have
build 14352.0.1.0.
How do I get the latest build? Do I actually need to get it?

Hmm, what build of WM5 does your 6700 have on it? You can find this
under Start>Settings>System>About. The current build for Sprint's 6700
is 14847.2.0.0. If you have a previous build I know many things were
improved with the later build (not to mention aku2). Also do you have
any third party programs installed and if so listing them may help us get
you closer to a soloution. I have a 6700 myself so we should be able to
get things straight for you.

Brand new phone just got it a couple of days ago and my card is empty.
I had this problem prior to even adding the card.

thanks for the info though.

I've had this issue before and for me it was because I sinstall certain
apps to the sd card. When you hit the power button on the device it
also kills the power to the mini-sd slot which depending on the program
will cause the problems you are describing. If you have any
applications that either integrate with the os are are heavily used by
the os you may wish to install those programs into main memory.
